This piece makes me feel a bit anxious. The red of the background and the bugs make me feel uncomfortable, even though I know it's not meant to do that. I feel like it's an illogical fear based on past experience and it isn't letting me be perfectly calm, but if I sit there and take the time to enjoy the moment, I would realize that it's perfectly safe.
I love the business of this piece. There are so many elements but the sky still leaves room to breathe, which makes a wonderfully balanced composition.
