COMIC CAMP
LAST1HOME PUBLISHING is inviting youth of 8-14 years to a comic camp at the Notre-Dame-des-Arts offices (5754 Upper Lachine road, MTL, QC, H4A 2T5) for reading week (March 4-8, 10am-4pm) where they will develop their skills as comic creators through games and exercises, and creating a finished 8 page comic by the end of the week.
last1home Comic Camp is the brainchild of professional comic creators and educators Laurence Dea Dionne and Jay D’Ici. It provides a unique opportunity for children to spend their reading week making comics under the tutelage of qualified professionals, while also having fun!
With over 30 years of combined experience in both comics and education, Laurence and Jay will spend the week working with the kids to create their own short comic to share with friends and family, while studying the medium through activities and games that will help develop their skills as artists, creators, and individuals.
Throughout the week, youth will play comics games, practice with skill-building exercises and create a finished 8-page comic to print and distribute!
